Hillbilly Hellcats are a modern rockabilly trio embarking on their most intensive national and European touring yet in 2008. Guitarist/Songwriter Chuck Hughes noticed that long after any active touring or promotional efforts the bands' two CDs have remained consistently in Amazon's top 100 retro style charts along with other bands such as 16 Horsepower, Reverend Horton Heat, Man or Astro Man, Los Straightjackets, and Mermen, all of whom who have borrowed from roots music styles in creating works whose energy and concept are unmistakenly contemporary.
