Breakthrough soul and R&B artist Leon Bridges has announced 2016 tour dates scheduled to kick off on March 1st of next year in Atlanta, GA, touching down in a slew of major cities across North America (please see dates below) with the Texas native’s seven-piece band joining him on the spring trek. Support comes from Andra Day, who will open for Leon from May 23rd through June 9th.
The fan presale (pw: cominghome) and Amex presale started Monday, October 12, with tickets for the tour going on sale to the public Friday, October 16 at 12pm local. Fans can check with local box offices for availability and pricing, and should also visit for additional information.
Intense demand to see the compelling singer/songwriter’s live show has been overwhelming since the release of his universally hailed debut album Coming Home (available at, released via Columbia Records on June 23rd. The spring tour announcement comes on the heels of Bridges current sold out fall run, which stretches until mid-November, his first-ever full length North American headlining tour.
Most recently, the Ft. Worth Texas native enjoyed a homecoming of sorts, performing at the Austin City Limits Festival as well as taping his first ‘Austin City Limits’ TV show last week.  Bridges performed all ten songs contained on the new album, Coming Home, and others, for the prestigious PBS show.  ‘Austin City Limits’ has been a cornerstone of Austin’s celebrated music scene for four decades and a pioneer in bringing new and noted music artists to PBS stations across the country.
