Apache Beat are releasing their single “Tropics” today and making it available for blogs and websites to offer it as a free download. The single, originally released as   a very limited run vinyl, has been rerecorded with Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Afrika Bambaataa). “Tropics” and it’s b-side, along with the “Blood Thrills” single are available on iTunes. Summer Lovers Unlimited will release another single late this year and Apache Beat’s full length in March 09

Apache Beat are one of NYC’s most exciting new bands and were instantly embraced by their peers form the Long Blondes to Crystal Castles who Apache Beat has played with. Frontwoman Ilirjana’s spellbinding voice and the bands extended melodies and adventurous rhythms promise that the full length will be one of the most captivating debuts in 2009.
