From Vinyl Entertainment AUSTIN MUSIC WEEK ON MTV2 FEATURING THE STORY OF
For Immediate Release December 16, 2008 (AUSTIN, TX) – During the week of December 22 through 27, MTV2 is scheduled to air "Austin Music Week" featuring The Story Of. The on-air promos encompass interviews with the band as well as their live performance at Stubb's in Austin, Texas.
Back in August of 2008, MTV2 filmed the interviews at a cabin on the banks of the Colorado River in East Austin – the same location where The Story Of devoted their summer to composing, writing and recording their latest self-released album, "Until the Autumn" (Self-Released / Leroy Godspeed Records).
The clips of the interview and the live performances include the songs, "Veteran's Day," "Berkeley," and "Hawk Gospel" – all available on the new album.
In additional to the on-air promos on MTV2, the clips will be available on Time Warner Cable's On-Demand as well as www.mtv2.com.
Originally formed in Athens, Ohio, the five friends trekked to Austin, Texas in 2004 to pursue their musical ambitions. Influenced by both their northern roots and their time in the South, the new album encapsulates their experiences in both regions. "Until the Autumn" serves up powerful and heartfelt lyrics and haunting harmonies that are extraordinarily reflective of their emotions and beliefs.
