While most bands hit a creative and commercial plateau as they progress in their careers, NYC’s BAYSIDE have managed to consistently outsell their previous releases and grow their audience by leaps and bounds. Released last week (February 18, 2014), their sixth album CULT (Hopeless Records) has exceeded expectations and landed in multiple Billboard charts.

Bayside landed in at #24 for Billboard’s Top 200 Albums - the highest chart debut of their career, proving that they’re at the top of their creative and commercial game. Just as impressively, CULT topped the Vinyl Chart at #1, which marks Hopeless Records’ first ever topping of that category. "We are incredibly proud of what Bayside has been able to accomplish right out of the gate on Cult," said Ian Harrison, VP of Marketing & Creative Hopeless Records. "It's very exciting to see a band with such a strong history be able to grow their album sales including delivering the #1 vinyl album in the 20 year history of Hopeless Records. There is much more to come from Bayside and we are very happy to be a part of it."

Other positions include #3 on the Record Label Independent Chart, #5 Current Alternative Album Chart, and #6 Current Rock Album Chart and Album Core Genre Rock Chart. All of these gains in the chart reinforce that Bayside has always put music first, bucking the trends and the genres that have tried to constrain them.

The band will be hitting the road on arguably their biggest and fastest selling headlining tour to date with support from Four Year Strong, Daylight, and Mixtapes with the first show already sold out in advance. Tour dates are:

The media has also been overwhelmingly supportive of Bayside's continued success. Alternative Press hailed, "[Bayside is] a tried-and-true punk band with a keen ear for melody... It certainly helps when you have a singer as versatile as Raneri, who's able to ride his honey-soaked melodies to the moon." Kerrang added, “Against a backdrop of loss and love, these songs are a study in how to grow up gracefully without sacrificing the edge of youth." New Noise Magazine lauded, "the ante is just upped so much on Cult that the past releases just can't compete." Sputnik Music writes, "Cult is the best album Bayside have ever written."

Formed in 2000 in Queens, NY, Bayside has previously released five studio albums (2004's Sirens and Condolences, 2005's Bayside, 2007's The Walking Wounded, 2008's Shudder, 20011's Killing Time), numerous EPs, and a live album (2008's Live at the Bayside Social Club). The band has toured the world and played on multiple Vans Warped Tours. With the release of CULT, the breadth of their history seems to have culminated in this sixth studio album.
