British psych-rock band Syd Arthur release a brand-new track, entitled "Sun Rays" today via all participating digital retailers.  In June, the band unveiled the video for "Apricity," the title track from their upcoming new album out October 21st on Harvest Records, available for pre-order now.  Those who pre-order the album will receive instant downloads of both "Apricity" and "Sun Rays" for which a video will be released in the coming weeks as part of a trilogy co-directed and conceptualized by singer-guitarist Liam Magill and Gavin Bush.
Syd Arthur is brothers Liam Magill, Joel Magill (bass, vocals), and Josh Magill (drums) and Raven Bush (violin, keyboards, mandolin). Formed in Canterbury, England, in 2003, the band has explored the myriad possibilities of improvisation, taking an exceptional approach born of prodigious musicianship, elemental songcraft, and an unabashed spirit of adventure. They have released three albums, including 2014's Sound Mirror, and earned recognition as a thrilling live act. Syd Arthur has played myriad UK headline shows and support slots alongside such artists as White Denim, Jonathan Wilson, The Pixies, Sean Lennon's The Ghost Of A Sabertooth Tiger, and Paul Weller.
Syd Arthur will hit the road with Jake Bugg on September 7th. Prior to that, they will perform at England's Bushstock and Glastonbury Festivals, as well as Riot Fest in Denver and the Sonic Boom Festival and X Fest in Canada. Please see below for all of the band's upcoming tour dates.
