From Gladshot

Gladshot is an NYC band from Debbie Andrews (vocals, keyboards) and Mike Blaxill (vocals, guitars), two artists who've gotten together to prove that literate, finely-wrought pop can spring from the combination of two quite distinct  musical minds.

"Burn Up and Shine", their CD with producer John Agnello (The Hold Steady, Oxford Collapse, Sonic Youth) just went to radio with an add date of Ocober 14.  Appearing on the record as guest vocalist is Lisa Lowell from Springsteen's Seeger Sessions.

Gladshot's songs have been on ABC, the WB network, MTV, Oxygen, and NPR live radio and they've opened for such artists as Michelle Shocked, Head Automatica, Lo Faber Band and Corey Harris.

"So I'm working with this band called Gladshot! These guys are great! They are from New York and they are really cool. Wait until you hear the songs! Really great melodies and they sing their asses off. This record is gonna surprise a lot of people!"
- John Agnello, producer .. Gladshot, The Hold Steady

"Infectious songs should be drop-kicking inferior tripe off radio playlists everywhere. They have everything - sing-a-long hooks, strong harmonies.  Gladshot is one of the nicest surprises I've had all year"
- Bill Holmes, Pop Matters

"Have you heard about Gladshot? Everybody's talking about Gladshot!"
- Joe Franklin
