Capital Cities: Additional Fall Tour Dates

posted Oct 27, 2014, 5:59 AM by Vu Nguyen
After spending the summer supporting Katy Perry on the first U.S. leg of her Prismatic World Tour, Capital Cities will embark on a fall headline run.

Capital Cities recently performed their new single, “One Minute More,” on “Good Morning America” and “Late Show with David Letterman.” Idolator.com praised the song’s “seize the moment” feel, noting, “like their trumpet-heavy 2013 smash [‘Safe and Sound’], they’re bringing major summer vibes with this uptempo burst of energy.”

Found on the deluxe edition of the band’s debut album, In A Tidal Wave Of Mystery (Capitol Records/Lazy Hooks) is the new track “One Minute More”. The official video and the lyric video for “One Minute More” have each racked up more than one million views.

“One Minute More” is featured in the commercial for BRP’s new Sea-Doo Spark watercraft and has been tapped for the soundtrack for The Weinstein Company’s upcoming film, The Giver. The soundtrack is out now and the film, which was directed by Phillip Noyce and stars Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Brenton Thwaites, Alexander Skarsgard, Katie Holmes, Odeya Rush, Cameron Monaghan and Taylor Swift, will be in theatres on August 15. “One Minute More” was also featured on The Iron Man 3: Heroes Fall (Music Inspired By the Motion Picture) collection.

“Safe and Sound,” the multi-Platinum first single from In A Tidal Wave Of Mystery, has over 100 million streams on Spotify. It peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and entered the Top 5 at Pop, Hot AC, Triple A and Modern Rock radio. The accompanying video, which won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Visual Effects and was nominated for a GRAMMY®, has more than 100 million certified views on VEVO.

The official video for “I Sold My Bed, But Not My Stereo,” another track from In A Tidal Wave Of Mystery, recently premiered on VEVO.
