Celebrate @ SXSW w/SESAC: Official Showcase, FADER FORT, & AMA Showcases

SESAC, the nation's most progressive performance rights organization, is proud to announce its return to SXSW Music. This year's events include the SESAC Official Showcase and sponsorships at the FADER FORT and the Americana Music Association (AMA) Showcases.

 

SESAC Official Showcase

 

The annual SESAC showcase, taking place on Wednesday, March 12 at Lambert's BBQ, promises a night filled with some of SESAC's most talented affiliates:

  • Milo & Otis (8:00pmwill kick off the evening with their down-tempo "Adventure Soul." Their 2012 debut album, The Joy,was called "mold-shattering" by the Washington Post and featured a guest spot by a then-unknown Chance The Rapper.
  • John & Jacob (9:00pm) are a Nashville-based songwriting duo who recently scored their first Billboard #1 song with "Done," recorded by The Band Perry.
  • Fever the Ghost (10:00pmhails from Los Angeles' Echo Park scene where their electronic psych-pop music has garnered a loyal fan base. Their debut EP, Crab In Honey,was released Jan. 21, 2014.
  • Diarrhea Planet (11:00pm) is a Nashville-based 6-piece rock and roll band that has been called "an arena-ready outfit boasting four excellent guitarists" by Esquire. They are scheduled to perform at Governor's Ball and the Hangout Fest this summer.
  • Leftover Cuties (12:00am) has a vintage jazz-pop sound and aesthetic that has garnered a featured spot for its single "Game Called Life" as the theme for the Showtime series, "The Big C."
  • G L I T C H E S (1:00amwill close the night by bringing its own brand of electro indie, multi-sensory rock to SXSW from its London headquarters where the band members are known for hosting their series of underground parties called "H A C Y O N N I G H T S."

Lambert's BBQ is located at 401 West 2nd St (and Guadalupe St).

 

FADER FORT

 

SESAC will join FADER in celebration of its 15th Anniversary and 90th issue at one of SXSW's hottest and most anticipated annual events, FADER FORT. From March 12-15, SESAC will enhance the VIP FADER FORT experience with a refreshing, throwback treat: flavored Snow Cones. Chromeo, Damon Albarn, FKA Twigs, The Orwells, Jeremih, Isaiah Rashad, and a series of special guests are scheduled to perform.

 

Americana Music Association (AMA) Showcases

 

SESAC will sponsor Americana Music Association showcases, a SXSW staple, which brings together genres from across America's musical landscape, from blues to folk to country, for two days of traditional Americana music.

  • Wednesday March 12: In partnership with Nashville-based music company Thirty Tigers, AMA's SXSW showcases will kick off with an exciting lineup at St. David's Church (301 E 8th Street) and will feature artists like the Queen of Rockabilly, Wanda Jackson; singer/songwriter John Fullbright; and the Haden Triplets, among others.
  • Friday, March 14: SESAC will join AMA at The Gatsby (708 E 6th St) for the "Pandora Discovery Den" showcase with an extensive (and impressive) lineup that includes anticipated performances by renowned country artist Lucinda Williams, folk musician Shakey Graves, southern California rockers The Mowgli's, folk-blues band Hurray for the Riff Raff, and more.
