Audiences and critics alike are discovering what Diane Cluck's fans have know for years… Diane is nonpareil in her exploration of melody and her seemingly effortless performance of the songs that make up her new album Boneset. Proof of this exists in the debut of her NPR Tiny Desk Concert as described by NPR's Daoud Tyler-Ameen, "A rich 15-year recording career precedes this year's Boneset, as thrilling a showcase of Cluck's clawed, counterintuitive fingerpicking and elastic
voice as anything she's ever released. Witnessing the same process
live, however, jams the senses — it's almost easier to imagine some tiny spirit in her chest is controlling the action, turning a pitch wheel with one hand and a tone knob with the other."
Boneset is Cluck's seventh release and her first since the 2006 release of Monarcana, marking the return of the much-celebrated neo-folk artist that Devandra Banhart championed as "my favorite singer-songwriter in all of New York City." A frequent collaborator with CocoRosie, Diane has also been cited as influencing Laura Marling, Sharon Van Etten, and Florence Welch (of Florence And The Machine).
