posted Mar 30, 2015, 9:22 PM by Vu Nguyen
New York City-based singer/songwriter Rachel Platten kicks off a cross country U.S. tour this week alongside Andy Grammer and Alex & Sierra, with dates continuing through April 3 at Los Angeles’ House of Blues. See below for full list of dates.

Rachel’s new single “Fight Song” is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. After recently being featured in the Christmas episode of Pretty Little Liars during a pivotal scene, the song immediately climbed into iTunes’ Top 100, making it the best-selling single of any song featured on the show in its following week. “Fight Song” has become a positive anthem for people far and wide, from fans battling cancer and other illnesses to Baltimore’s John Hopkins Children’s Center’s annual MIX 106.5 Radiothon, which kicked off early this morning. “Fight Song” is available everywhere now, including iTunes and Spotify.

Rachel is currently finishing her debut album for Columbia Records, expected to be released later this year. For more, visit www.rachelplatten.com.

Born and raised in Boston, Rachel Platten has been an independent musician for more than 10 years. While in college, Rachel realized her true calling and passion was music and upon graduation, dropped everything to move to New York City—specifically the musically-rich MacDougal Street in Manhattan’s West Village. There, Rachel met and played with a variety of musicians, from all skill levels and genres, from open mic nights to eventually self-booking and touring the country on her own, sharing stages with The Strokes, Lady Gaga, Matt Nathanson, The Fray, Gavin DeGraw, Regina Spektor and more. In 2011, Rachel landed a Top 20 hit at adult pop radio with her song “1,000 Ships,” which became the highest-charting independent release at the format in the last 10 years. Rachel’s songs have been featured on popular television shows and in films including Annie, One Tree Hill, Finding Carter, The Biggest Loser, and Pretty Little Liars’ highly-watched Christmas episode at the end of 2014. Rachel is currently finishing her debut album for Columbia Records, expected to be released later this year.
