Covering Elvis Presley’s Teddy Bear seemed like the perfect fit for this good-natured, joyous, one-man band Zach Deputy. Zach’s music style, which can be considered a mash up of funk, calypso, and rock, has turned the Elvis Presley hit into a song of his own, produced by Scott Jacoby and released on Eusonia Records. The video for Teddy Bear, filmed in July of 2014, gives viewers an inside look into one of Zach’s fun-loving concert cruises in Boston, MA. The friendly singer can be seen in the video enjoying the company of his loyal fans and smiling while he sings his “Island-infused, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Gospel-Ninja-Soul” rendition of Teddy Bear.

The singer/songwriter comes from South Carolina which can be surprising considering is reggae, alternative sound. He finds his eclectic musical inspiration through his one true passion- touring. Zach has been known to have over 250 performances in one year, which makes recording a song in a day a well-known project for Deputy. People from across the country gather at clubs and venues to enjoy Zach’s dance-party performances and lose themselves in the island rhythm of this playful talent.
